Green and Eco-friendly Building Product

The iron and steel industry accounts for about 19% of final energy usage worldwide and about a quarter of all direct carbon emissions. By replacing grates and similar products which are typically made of steel and iron, Jonite aims to slowly reduce the carbon footprint of steel and iron on the environment. Jonite is Green Label certified by Singapore Environment Council, achieving it by using eco-friendly materials containing 30% or more recycled content. This goes in line with the ongoing green movement in Singapore initiated by the Building Construction Authority(BCA) of Singapore.

Durable and Minimal Maintenance

Unlike conventional steel gratings commonly seen on the public walkways in Singapore, Jonite gratings and sump covers are durable and requires very minimal maintenance. Jonite’s eco-friendly building material is not only strong, but also non-corrosive. When installed correctly, Jonite products can last in excess of 20 years without corroding or rusting. These value-added long-term benefits of Jonite will provide more cost savings than steel and iron gratings in the long run.
