Colchester Arts Centre

The long-awaited opening of Colchester’s firstsite visual arts centre is a 3,200 sq m (34,445 sq ft) building of the town’s contemporary arts organisation of the same name and will be used to host a number of exhibitions, film screenings and educational programmes. Jonite Stone Tree Grates from the Square Mosaic collection can be seen used just outside this notable architectural site.

Diamond Kitchen

Diamond Kitchen Singapore’s newest rock stars of seafood, coupled with a mouth-watering array of Chinese cuisine, generally Cantonese, with a tinge of Teochew and other cooking styles. For their flagship restaurant, Jonite Design Services were creatively utilized to create customised decorative stone grating lattices for both the external facades and interior decorations, fitting to the restaurant’s modern-Chinese decors.

The International Arbitration Centre

The International Arbitration Centre (IAC) is situated within a conservation building which had served as the customs house during the colonial days. The facades fronting directly to the two main roads, with the rotunda and the dome roof being the former main entry were the only untouched elements of the original building. Jonite heavy duty grates were exclusively used for the grand entrance of the main driveway, matching seamlessly with its modern black granite stone tiles and to withstand the weight of large vehicles passing through.

TKO Open Space

The 11,000 square meters project aims to meet the pressing needs for public leisure and cultural facilities for residents in the southern part of Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong. The TKO Open Space consists of landscaped sitting areas, outdoor fitness stations and recreational facilities for adults, children’s play area, eco-garden, district library as well as a sports centre. Jonite grates are used along the plant plots and Jonite tree grates are used here.

 

Westwood Primary

The Beacon

The Beacon is a 99-year leasehold development located along Cantoment Road which is at the fringe of the Central business District (CBD). It comprises a 24-storey tower block with 124 apartments, with recreation facilities such as swimming pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi and gymnasium. The Beacon’s apartment units have been designed to appeal to busy urbanites especially single executives, young couples and small families who would appreciate its accessibility and central location. Jonite Pool Grates were used to great effect on the flat overflow swimming pools and outdoor Jacuzzi.

Clarke Quay

Clarke Quay is a historical riverside quay in Singapore, located within the Singapore River Planning Area. Today, it is a refurbished riverside development of old warehouses consisting almost exclusively of bars and restaurants. Jonite Toilet Grates made its debut in its latest upgrading works.

 

JCube

JCube, a seemingly unpretentious shopping mall in Jurong, is Singapore’s first mall to hold an Olympic size ice skating rink on its second floor, an IMAX theatre on the top floor and a rollerblading park on the rooftop. To ensure that the mall and the ice rink stays cool, an evaporative cooling system as well as precast concrete panels help to lower the overall heat absorption rate. Integrating various night lighting into the cube’s façade, the once quiet streets of Jurong has become a lively destination for people of all walks of life to gather. Jonite Toilet Grates are used to maintain a clean and hygienic feel.

 

Jurong Bird Park

Jurong Bird Park, is one of the most iconic tourist attraction in Singapore and is managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore. Jonite was featured in the newest extension of the Bird Park, Birdz of Play, a bird-themed playground which offers both wet and dry play zones as well as a multi-purpose pavilion and a games room for toddlers and older kids. The grates lining the play area and the tree gratings are selected from choice Jonite products.

 

Duke-NUS

The Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore is a collaboration between the Duke University in North Carolina, United States and the National University of Singapore. It is the first collaboration of its kind in Singapore between two of the world’s top higher education institutions. The new school building designed by UK-based international architects RMJM, will significantly boost the number of highly trained doctors in the country, demonstrating Singapore’s commitment to becoming a world leader in healthcare and biomedical research. Jonite Grates along the driveway match the with the stone tile aesthetic.
