When it comes to children, safety is of utmost importance. The northern suburban town of Singapore, Yishun, is a large public housing development project consisting of fourteen 15-storey residential buildings, with two multi-storey carparks and other communal facilities for the public. Jonite Fallen Leaves design Tree Grates were chosen as part of the landscape of this project to not only match with the paver floor with its two colour tones but also act as a flooring art piece.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Jonite grates and outdoor drain covers can be seen throughout Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore’s second polytechnic, established in Clementi. With anti-slip properties, the grates minimizes the constant slip accidents present on one of the slopes in the campus; making the polytechnic’s recent replacement of older metal sump covers to Jonite sump covers an obvious decision.

 

Tin Shui Wai Open Space

Tin Shui Wai is a densely populated and fast developing new town with high-rise residential buildings. In view of the increasing population, there is a real need to provide more recreation spaces, sports facilities and landscaping areas. This development will vastly improve the provision of public open space in the district. Decorative Jonite Grates were specified to provide strong load performance in a public space as well as creating an aesthetic flair along the jogging paths.

National Heart Centre

The National Heart Centre Singapore is a specialist medical centre in Singapore for cardiac problems as well as a regional referral centre for cardiovascular diseases. In 2014, the NHCS completed its move to its new purpose built building within the Singapore General Hospital. Jonite Grates are used to accommodate the grating along the plant plots.
