There are many problems facing conventional poolside gratings where synthetic materials, ferrous materials as well as cementitious materials were used. Weakening by deterioration and corrosion due to UV exposure and oxidation are just some of the problems that remain unsolved.

But nevertheless, architects wanted badly to blend the gratings with the pool-deck in order to attain an integral flooring which will enhance and integrate the entire backdrop of the pool and its surrounding. Some came up with the idea of similar floor tiled pre-cast concrete slabs, but at the expense of functionality. It is almost impossible to perforate the slabs to have a minimum waterway area required in the hydraulic capacity.

JONITE pool-grates however fit the bill, a 95% natural agglomerated material reinforced with *non-ferrous composite material to sustain the load as well as preventing corrosion even under water submersion. It comes in standard colors and custom colors to match any pool deck flooring material.

At the moment there is only one model of Pool-grate, and that is Baby Pebble Holes as shown here. There are various standard sizes to suit your needs. However, we encourage creativity from architects on custom patterns and designs hence reducing premium charges for custom tooling costs.

Pool-grate is under the creative models category, which is suitable for swimming pool scupper drains where the gratings are subjected only to human traffic. Heavy utilities and cleaning vehicles or equipments are not suitable for pool-grates.
