Jonite in ALSA 2015

Jonite will be exhibiting in ALSA, the largest landscape architecture trade show in the world  held annually in various cities throughout the United States. The ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO draws more than 5,000 attendees and nearly 450 exhibitors each year. Attendees consistently rate the EXPO as the “most valuable event” at the meeting each year.

The Singapore University of Singapore (SUTD) is the foruth autonomous University of the Republic of Singapore. It officially opened its’ new 76,846m sq campus in May 2015. The design for the new campus directly reflects SUTD’s curriculum, using the creative enterprise of the school to facilitate a cross-disciplinary interface; interaction is established between the professional world, the campus and the community at large.

Singapore Sports Hub

Singapore’s newest landmark, the Singapore Sports Hub, is a $1.33 billion state-of-the-art,fully integrated sports and lifestyle hub. It is not only a visual feast for the eyes but also an architecture marvel built with sustainability in mind. Jonite trench grates, sump covers and tree grates are incorporated throughout  the facility to harmoniously complement the surroundings.

Yishun N3C21

Yishun is a suburban town in the northern part of Singapore. Yishun N3C is a large public housing development project comprising of fourteen 15-story blocks with two multi-story carparks and other communal facilities. Jonite fallen leaves design tree grates were chosen as part of the landscape of this project. With its’ two color tones intentionally chosen to match with the paver flooring, these supremely large tree grates also double up as a flooring art piece.

Indian Heritage Center

Singapore’s Indian Heritage Center opened on May 8, 2015. The Museum’s jewel like facade, towers over the historic and colorful shop houses on Campbell road and Clive street in Little India, and traces the history of South Asian communities of Singapore and Southeast Asia. The $21M, 3,000 square-meter Indian Heritage Center is the city’s third run, race-based heritage center, after the Sun Y at Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and the Malay Heritage Center.
