Proof that swimming pool grating can draw inspiration from plant life, too. Think sweeping fern leaves and a smooth, fade-resistant stone finish. 

Ideal if you’re looking to create standout designs in both indoor and outdoor pool spaces, these engineered stone decorative pool grates made with reinforced aluminium frames are naturally slip-resistant and stay cool enough to walk on—even in the warmest of weather. These pool grates were designed as part of our collaboration with the award-winning, visionary design studio, Rudolph Schelling Webermann (RSW©).

Composition

<1% crystalline silica

Our composite formulation uses safer raw materials in place of substances like quartz. All of our engineered stone pool grates now contain under 1% silica and are certified for use in Australia.

95% natural aggregates

All our decorative pool grates are produced using a minimum of 95% natural aggregates and 5% hybrid polymers. The outcome is a more eco-friendly product with a natural look and a longer-lasting finish.

30% recycled materials

Every Jonite pool grate is produced with at least 30% recycled materials. Any surplus stone and aluminium that doesn't meet our rigorous quality standards is recycled and used in upcoming projects.

Approved worldwide

All the materials in our grating products meet the latest global safety standards. This includes the new legislation that applies to products containing crystalline silica.

Toddler-safe design

We designed our decorative pool grates to be toddler-safe. As most of our grates feature small, narrow openings, there’s a lower risk of toddlers catching their toes.

Fade-resistant

Unlike natural stone swimming pool grating, our pool grates have a water absorption rate of 0.5%. This means they won’t discolour—no matter how many times they come into contact with water.

Non-slip surface

Our engineered stone swimming pool grates have a naturally slip-resistant surface, making them safer to walk on in wet and humid areas.

Heat-resistant

With built-in heat resistance, our decorative pool grates are safer and more comfortable to walk on than traditional steel—even in the midday sun.

Corrosion proof

The corrosion-proof properties that come with engineered stonework means our swimming pool grating is designed to last—both indoors and out.
