The new Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) campus in Punggol represents one of the country’s largest integrated university developments—designed to house applied learning facilities, research centres, and collaboration zones within a future-ready campus environment. Officially opened in 2024, the 91,000 square metre project is a flagship model for sustainable, walkable and digitally enabled tertiary campuses in Singapore. Masterplanned and designed by WOHA Architects in collaboration with Surbana Jurong, the campus emphasizes connectivity with the surrounding Punggol Digital District and includes a network of open plazas, courtyards, and green linkages across its expansive grounds.

Jonite trench grates and sump covers were specified throughout the development, playing a vital role in the project’s infrastructure. In areas subject to heavy vehicular access, D400 load-rated grates and sump covers were installed to meet demanding performance requirements while preserving the visual quality of the hardscape.
