Global Expertise. Serving the United States.

Founded in 1995, Jonite pioneered reinforced stone grating - introducing a new approach to architectural materials that balances structural performance with refined design.

Over three decades, our systems have been shaped through close collaboration with architects, landscape designers, and developers across diverse global projects. Architects worldwide trust our systems - and we bring that same technical precision and long-term thinking to projects across the United States.

Today, we support specifications throughout the US market, drawing on international project experience to deliver consistent, considered outcomes at every scale.

Our Product Range

Engineered for Performance. Validated by Standards.

Jonite grates and covers meet load classifications from A15 to D400, in accordance with BS EN 124:2015. These ratings support applications from pedestrian areas to vehicular zones. For project-specific requirements, our team can provide guidance on load selection and specification.

Our systems support ADA-compliant installations when specified to project requirements. Grate patterns, slot widths, and installation methods should be reviewed against your specific accessibility criteria. Technical documentation is available to assist with the specification process.

Jonite products are tested across a range of environmental conditions - including ASTM B117 salt spray testing for corrosion resistance, where applicable, and ASTM D543 for chemical resistance. The composite material is suitable for varied climates, with consideration given to site-specific conditions such as freeze-thaw exposure.

Each product is made from up to 95% natural aggregates, with at least 30% recycled content. Jonite is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and our materials may contribute toward LEED certification depending on project requirements.
