Learning Hub South, more fondly known as The Hive, is situated at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Thomas Heatherwick created the S$45 million structure, which was finished in 2015. Due to its resemblance to the steamer baskets used to hold dim sum, the structure is often referred to as the "dim sum basket building". Built with the future in mind, The Hive was a nominee for the Commercial Mixed-Use Award in the Future Projects category of the 2015 World Architecture Festival. Jonite is proud to be a part of this architectural phenomenon, where our trench grates were used to add a modern touch to the property.
